Amy Capp, child psychologist at abc Child Psychology

Amy is an AHPRA-registered psychologist and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society. She works with children and adolescents aged 2 to 16 years, providing comprehensive assessments for autism, ADHD, learning disorders, intellectual disability, and other developmental differences.

Amy has a particular interest in comprehensive psychological and developmental assessments. She is committed to conducting thorough, evidence-based assessments that provide a detailed understanding of a child's strengths, areas of difficulty, and support needs.

She utilises a range of gold-standard assessment tools, including the ADOS-2, WPPSI-IV, WISC-V, WIAT-III, MIGDAS-2, BASC-3, and Vineland-3. Assessment findings are considered alongside developmental history, clinical observations, and information gathered across settings to provide a comprehensive understanding of a child's presentation.

Amy also provides evidence-based psychological intervention for children experiencing emotional, behavioural, and developmental difficulties.

The Space

A Warm, Welcoming Space

During your visit, the space is yours alone. There are no other families or children here, and no busy reception, Amy welcomes you herself. It's calm, private and unhurried, which helps children settle and feel safe rather than facing a big, overwhelming clinic.
